Hi, my name is Annette Borden, but you can also call me Annie, since that’s what my dad has called me from an early age! I don’t mind what you call me, just don’t call me late for dinner!

I decided to make this web page to show the world who I am. Like most people I’ve had my ups and downs, and I’ve come out of this a better person. I’m a divorced mom of three great kids, and together we are learning how to make the most of our new life. New town, new job and new experiences every day. It’s not the life I expected to have at this point in my life, but with the support of my family, we will do the best we can!

With all of the changes that our family has undergone, the kids and I had a discussion about whether to start in the middle of the school year in a new school. With the new school, the kids would not know any other students, which could make it very difficult for them to focus on studies. So, we decided that we would homeschool the kids for at least the end of the school year. At the end of the year we will assess how this went and see how we will proceed. With one of the kids being high school age, we need to focus on what’s best for her as she prepares to go to college. A lot of tough decisions are upcoming!

Fortunately, I have a job that has a lot of flexibility with my schedule. In my new job I can work days, nights, weekends and most of the time I can work from home. I Just need to go into the office about one day a week. This flexibility has provided me the opportunity to begin homeschooling the kids. So far, this has worked out well, and fingers crossed, it will work out for all of us. I’m very grateful for my boss to be very understanding and allowing me this freedom!
